In this workshop you will begin work on a single block and plan your very own Christmas quilt with Jacobean flair. Included will be an intense color study of the glorious fabric available today and hands on instruction using simplified, no-nonsense techniques for perfection in stitching. Quick methods of template making, marking designs on your background fabric and all of Pat's methods for round circles, smooth curves, and perfect points will be demonstrated.

Provided for you: pattern, applique pins, needles and thread

You need to bring: thimble, pin cushion, scissors (embroidery-type and paper cutting), white marking pencil, mechanical lead pencil, sandpaper board. Fabric: a 13" square of background fabric and colorful assortment of fabric, e.g.: two-color prints (tone on tone), large tropicals, and hand-dyes.
